Welcome to Lights On

Welcome to Lights On

Every fall the Auburn School District in Auburn, Washington hosts an event called the "Reaching Out Fair." We showcase student talent from all of our middle and high schools at assemblies at each school, and bring everything together at an evening event at our Performing Arts Center where local youth groups host a resource fair to show kids what is available to them in the area, and our youth show off their talent. We also honor local citizens who go the extra mile to serve the kids in our area.

This year our theme was "Dancing with the Principals." Every assembly hihglighted a local teenage ballroom dance group, and ended with a principal from each middle school dancing with one of the dance teachers in a competition against one of the other schools.

Although we don't the exact numbers for each school, there were several hundred students and adults in atendance and the event was once again, ver succesful.

Rainier Middle School is ecited to have our lights on after school again this year, and we're especially ahppy to have a new program coordinator with Auburn's Parks and Recreation program. Welcome Josh!
